Merry Monday 59

Merry Monday is back this week with fun sketch. I had to tilt the oval panel to make it work with the tree that's on this patterned paper. All patterned papers are from a 6 X 6 paper pad from Crate Paper called Snow Day. All stamps are Verve. Thanks for looking!

Freshly Made Sketches 83 & Colour Q 186

Such great colours for this week's Colour Q challenge. I used the current Freshly Made Sketch for a nice simple layout. Inks and flourish stamp are Stampin Up, the little flower stamp is from a Papertrey set, cardstock is Papertrey too. Thanks for looking!

Paper Players 142

This week`s Paper Players Challenge was tricky for me, I haven`t made many one layer cards. I went for kraft coloured cardstock, I find it a little more forgiving when I`m doing so much stamping right on to my card. The background script stamp and the flourish stamp are both Stampin Up. The flourish is embossed with white. The butterfly stamp, the sentiment stamp and the little rows of hearts are Verve. The pink butterflies are embossed with pink powder and then sponged with a some pink ink. The white butterflies and little hearts are stamped with Papertrey Vintage Cream ink.

This week's Paper Players Challenge is a colour challenge. I added the ribbon because I didn't think the Rich Razzleberry ink would photograph well and its the ribbon that didn't photograph well. Here's my card for the ColourQ Challenge 184 done with Verve stamps and dies. I needed another baby girl card so I kind of copied the last one I did using mostly the same stamps. It was a bit of a stretch using these colours so I hope I pulled it off. Thanks for looking!

Merry Monday 57 Joy to the World

 

Here is my Merry Monday card for the week. I really like banners on Christmas cards. I used Verve dies for the banner and mini  banner  trim. The Joy sentiment is from Verve and the Merry Christmas is from an older Stampin Up set. I embossed it in gold to make it pop against the red. I need to buy some more Christmas paper! This week's Paper Players Challenge is all about re-purposing. I dug a couple of buttons out of my sewing box, I think they came  with an article of clothing I no longer have, and paired them with a coffee sleeve. The Verve dies I used cut through the coffee sleeve really well, nice & clean. I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch with some Verve stamps. Thanks for looking!

 

Mothers Day Boxes & Butterflies

 

Here's some boxes I've been decorating. I got the wooden butterflies at the dollar store, I'm going to make some with yellow butterflies  and flowers too. BTW, the butterflies were a dollar for a package of 12. The Mothers Day stamp is Stampin' Up and the other dies and stamps are Verve. To give you an idea of the size, these boxes hold 4 votive candles standing upright on the bottom. Thanks for looking!
